<p>Forfeit is an accountability app based on Atomic Habits principles, designed to motivate users through financial consequences for failing to complete habits. It is rooted in the scientifically supported concept of Habit Contracts, as popularized by Atomic Habits, which emphasize the motivational impact of financial loss.</p>

<p>With a user base exceeding 20,000 individuals, Forfeit boasts a notable 94% success rate across over 75,000 forfeits, totaling stakes of over $1 million.</p>

<h3>HOW IT WORKS</h3>
<ol>
  <li><em>Set your forfeit:</em> Choose the habit you aim to complete, its deadline, and the monetary penalty for non-compliance.</li>
  <li><em>Submit your evidence:</em> Verify habit completion through various methods such as photo submissions, timelapse recordings, self-assessment, or accountability from friends.</li>
  <li><em>Or you lose money:</em> Failure to provide evidence in time results in monetary loss; however, only 6% of forfeits end in failure. In case of failure, appeals are allowed under specific circumstances.</li>
</ol>

<h3>VERIFICATION METHODS</h3>
<ul>
  <li><em>Photo:</em> Take a photo of the task completed for AI verification it matches your description.</li>
  <li><em>Timelapse:</em> Record a timelapse to verify tasks completion by a human evaluator.</li>
  <li><em>Self-Verify:</em> Confirm task completion without evidence.</li>
  <li><em>Friend-Verify:</em> Obtain testimony from an accountability partner for task completion.</li>
</ul>

<h3>OTHER FEATURES</h3>

  <li>X days/week: Set habit due dates based on frequency (e.g., workout 3 times per week).</li>
  <li>Certain days/week: Schedule habit deadlines exclusively on designated days (e.g., weekdays or specific weekdays).</li>
  <li>Appeal process: Submit appeals for missed submissions for review within hours by human moderators.</li>
